AIDA Cruises opts for FC Universal Interface and ITV for the first time
AIDAdiva, the latest addition to the AIDA Cruises fleet and the first of four new-generation club vessels, sets a new standard in cruise IT and is the first of the cruise line’s vessels to have FC’s Universal Interface, enabling Interactive TV, internet access from cabins and voice-over-internet telephony.
“Interactive TV is integrated through our Universal Interface,” explains Fidelio boss Tony Heuer. “This offers significant additional revenue generating opportunities on board. We are delighted that AIDA Cruises has chosen to install this software for the first time. This sets a new standard for the future – we believe that all cruise ships will have Interactive TV on board before long.”
AIDAdiva has a range of other FC software on board too, including the company’s SPMS with integrated modules such as Shore Excursion or Spa . The latest point-of-sale software, Micros 9700, is also installed and is fully integrated with the FC SPMS.
