Fidelio Cruise takes part in the River Ship Event of the year

Fidelio Cruise Software is pleased to have had the opportunity to meet once again with participants at the Danube Shipping Conference, held this year in Krems/ Austria from 4th Dec to 6th Dec. The Danube Shipping Conference was first held in 1997, in Linz where the representatives of shipping companies, cruise operators, and tourist industry professionals had the chance to meet and exchange views. This successful initiative was followed by meetings in several other European centers including Vienna, Bratislava, Belgrade, Budapest and Passau.

This year’s Danube Shipping Conference brought the company into contact with members of organizations all over Europe, interested in extending their knowledge and exchanging information with regard to Danube shipping operations. The topics discussed at the Conference Panel covered areas such as River Information Services in countries along the Danube, Security issues, Nautical Information and Crew issues.

As the popularity and demand for modern River Cruises increases, operators are looking to draw heavily from the experiences and operations of ocean liners. The challenges to increase efficiency, improve Guest Services, and provide better experiences for customers remain the same. As such, the need for integrated tools providing Point-of-Sale, back-office functions, gangway security, tour operations, and Guest services becomes more evident. Fidelio Cruise provides a single server solution especially suited for River Cruise operators. It has developed the River Ship Property Management System which addresses the specific needs of the River Cruise operator.
