Prices for pre-paid, pre-booked and wait-listed excursions, as well as spa bookings and other services available on board can now be automatically converted into shipboard currency from other currency denominations, defined by type and amount in the data import file.
A foreign currency amount in dollars, for example, would be automatically converted into British pounds at the prevailing exchange rate.
This new functionality will greatly simplify the task of handling multiple currencies on board. The new feature is supported from SPMS version 7.30.60x and 7.30.70x onwards.
Recent versions of SPMS now support automatic currency conversion for postings relating to shore excursions and spa bookings made in currencies other than that used on board ship.
